3DS Price Drop on the way

the 3DS gets a new pricing of $170, down from $250. sweet. they’re even giving first comer’s free games!

The 20 free games aren’t quite anything on the service. On September 1, qualifying users will get to download ten free NES Virtual Console games before they’re released to the public "later in the year." These games include Super Mario Bros., Donkey Kong Jr., Balloon Fight, Ice Climber, and The Legend of Zelda. Ambassadors are entitled to download the "updated versions" that will go live once they being being sold on the eShop, though it’s unclear exactly what’s different, if anything.

The other ten games will be Game Boy Advance Virtual Console games available to Ambassadors before year’s end. Among the selection will be Super Mario Advance 3: Yoshi’s Island; Mario Kart: Super Circuit; Metroid Fusion; WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Microgames, and Mario vs. Donkey Kong. None of these ten are planned for release to the public.
