8% of Android Apps continue to do malicious things, YIKES!

AndroidEvil

The anti-malware provider Dasient did a study on 10,000 android apps and the results are down right disturbing. 800 of these apps were found to be doing thins such as leaking information back to remote servers, sending out SMS messages to client’s contact lists and could even piggy back on top of other apps to spread to other devices. this is scary stuff. the results will be published at the Black Hat computer security conference some time next month. stay tuned.
