GameStop to sell refurbished Apple MacBooks?

I personally am looking forward to this. I’m in the market for, and really need, a laptop and I want a Macbook. I can’t afford the refurb prices that you have to pay on the Apple website and I’m not pleased with having to search through Ebay or hope that someone sells something great at a good price in my shitty town on Craig’s List. At least with a Gamestop refurbed Macbook I can walk in, actually see what they have in person.

GameStop CEO J. Paul Raines told us that his company could become a high-tech pawn shop one day, refurbishing all kinds of used gadgets, instead of just stocking games and the occasional phone or tablet. Today, a leaked screenshot at Kotaku suggests that the company may be ready for the next stage of its plan: selling used Apple laptops. According to the screenshot, which could admittedly be filled with placeholders rather than actual prices, MacBooks could start as low as $459.99. There’s a listing for a refurbished 11-inch MacBook Air with a 1.4GHz Core 2 Duo processor at $749.99, a bit more than the $699.99 that Apple usually charges, while an 17-inch MacBook Pro with a 2.4GHz Core i7 processor might be found for $2,099.99, which seems like it could be a bit less. If you spot a GameStop selling laptops in your area, please let us know in the comments!
