Hot 97’s Morning Show Host Peter Rosenberg Disses Nicki Minaj At Summer Jam

It is certainly nothing new to here of someone getting played at Summer Jam. From Mobb Deep, to Nas a la Jay-Z “…don’t be the next contestant on that summer jam screen…” your favorite rappers; favorite rapper can get it as seen and heard at Summer Jam 2012. So, now not only do we hear of the rappers saying something crazy at these events, now the radio hosts are getting into the act. Hot 97 Morning show host Peter Rosenberg goes in by stating, “I know there are some chicks here waiting to sing Starship later I’m not talking to yall right now…F%@# that bullshit…I’m hear to talk about real hip hop shit…” WOW, I say! Personally, I am having a bit of mixed feelings about what was said. As far as “real hip hop” is concerned, I feel like that is based on the listener, and certainly not the views of an unorthodox Jew who makes a profit off of a culture that has very little to do with him. For that matter should he be the one talking about what in Hip Hop is real or fake?? Never the less, I respect where he is coming from. There is nothing “Hip Hop” about Starship! It is a “Pop” song performed by a Hip Hop artist that targets a certain crowd. The idea is to sell records and from that perspective, I can understand where Nicki Minaj is coming from by creating a song like Starship, or any other song that would sound as such. Hey that’s just me, and as Hip Hop as I KNOW I am, I will be rocking out to Starship just because! !%@# Peter Rosenberg!! LOL
