HTC’s Top Hat May Leaks Some Devices Good Enough To Rival Nokia’s Plethora Of Rainbow Colored Goodness
So it seems that there may just be a little private and inside war between the editors or Lifestyles Defined over what next Windows Phone * device will be the ‘crème of the crop’ of upcoming Windows devices. Frankly; I have had just about enough of all of the iPhone 5 talk, so I think it is about time to right into the real devices.
On the release date of the HTC Titan II and the Nokia Lumia 900 back in the spring; I actually had the pleasure of owning both devices, for a brief time of course. An Early April morning, promptly at my local AT&T store, my colleague and close friend Ramon and I purchased the Nokia Lumia 900 devices and were both equally awed and the beauty of the devices. Stunning design, a vivid display and an eye catching housing was just some of the immediate attractions of the device, but sometimes its not always about how something looks. As a consumer of almost every new mobile device; I like to have somewhat of a feature test of what ever device I would by at the time. Personally, I would not be a happy camper to find out that may hard earned dollars went to something that doesn’t live up to my expectations. So after having passes most of my features tests like camera quality, design, display and so on, I decide that I would test out the Lumia 900’s music playback quality. Being the music enthusiast that I am, I expect nothing but the best in sound quality when enjoying the ride to and from work. Well needless to say, the best was something that I did not get. In fact; the Nokia Lumia did not even rival the sound quality of my almost twenty year old Sony Walkman! So without anymore delay, I returned my Lumia 900 for an HTC Titan II.
I say this to you the reader, and specifically any of my colleagues that have abandoned the HTC ship for ‘Nokian’ Pirates of the Caribbean, there is not substitute for great sound. Coming from a musically inspired background, I cannot go on living with any device of mine that excels in every department but epically fails with something so simple as music playback and sound quality.
Early September, Team Nokia goes on to play their hand as the self proclaimed flagshit, I mean flagship of Windows Phone * devices, and I personally would like to believe that they will be. There devices are without question, something to behold, yet something as minuscule as good sound reproduction should not be a challenge for Nokia that goes unnoticed! HTC with “Sound Enhancement” delivers a personalized feel on how you would like your music to sound in almost any condition.Whether you are at the gym with earphones tapped in, or wired up into the auxiliary HTC devices deliver a much better sound quality that their Samsung and Nokia competitors hands down. So without anymore of my short story like posts, check out some of the specs to the new HTC: Windows Phone 8 devices.
