Jay-Z’s "Magna Carta Holy Grail" Hits The Billboard Top 200 At #1 And How Old Is He Again?

The final numbers are in this morning for Jay-Z‘s Magna Carta Holy Grail. The Album lands in at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 charts, selling 527,000 copies in its initial week, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

There has been a lot of talk controversy surrounding this album. What with the whole Samsung app server collapse, more than enough downloads left and people were not able to download the album, and so on. To be totally fair to the attempt, this was something that has never been tried or done before. To understand the status of a man you must first understand the moves he is making. The venture with Samsung was and pardon my expression; “Next level shit”! Yet so many complaints fell on the ears of Jay-Z, before they did the ears of the company responsible for the servers, and the actually app.

Then there are the ‘nay sayers’ that felt the album was not to the level of previous albums. So I will word this very similar to how Jay-Z has put it; “the previous Jay-Z albums are currently on sale at the iTunes store, Google Play, and Windows Market.

After the servers failed and the smoke cleared, MCHG is still #1 on billboard and the highest selling album for this month and possibly last month and they have not even accounted for the one million sold before the album dropped. By the way, he did all of this at the age of 43.
