Lifestyles Defined Presents: Adara
EDM Artist Adara gives us an exclusive one on one on life and music.
Give us some perspective on what makes you the talent that you are.
“Like other artists, I strive to have my own unique voice. I see the world as a magical and electrifying place, and that filters how I write about my experiences. However, I want to take my story telling and vision past the music and incorporate it into an entire experience of clothing, live shows, dancing, art, and a way of life. At the core of my music is a passionate belief that we are beautiful and capable of amazing things in this world. I want to represent that belief in as many forms as possible, with music being at the heart of it of course.”
What are some of your aspirations for your musical career?
“I want to write music that not only connects with people on an emotional level but inspires them to love more deeply, live more freely, to make a difference in the world around them, and go after their dreams. I want people to know that they are all made of stars and we have the capabilities to live EXTRAORDINARY lives. I hope that my music can be a platform to help with environmental conservation efforts as well.”
“All in all, I aspire to have a live musical experience that takes the audience into my world. The visual aspects of music are really important to me. I think lighting and images can propel the music to a whole other level. I want to travel and perform in as many countries as I can, create a fashion line, and inspire people to make the world a better place through charity efforts.”
Who are some of you musical inspirations, whether currently in the industry or someone from the past?
“I grew up listening to the Rolling Stones and The Eagles. Those were my Dad’s favorite bands and we’d listen to them on the record player and dance for hours as a kid. I learned a lot about story telling from them. My more recent inspirations are Coldplay , U2, and Ellie Goulding. I love their soundscapes, poetic and fantasy based lyrics, and big choruses.”
What advise could you give an up and coming artist looking to pursue there music career?
“Find what makes you different and make that stand out! Don’t get lost comparing yourself to other people, especially those that are already a lot farther on the musical journey. Keep in mind that everyone is on their own path and observe people who are at the same stage of the musical ladder as you or one step above to see what they do and learn from that. Also, just make music that is beautiful to you. If you do what you love, chances are other people are going to love it too.”
Lifestyles Defined would like to thank EDM, Erin Osovets and of course the lovely and extraordinary songstress Adara for taking the time out of her very tedious schedule to talk to us about life and music in our electrifying world.
