Microsoft Updates Bing, Social Whoring 101
From the very beginning microsoft made it clear, Bing was NOT a search engine. They went out on a limb and branded it a “decision” engine. This is something still foreign to a lot of folk, mainly because the world uses Google in general. However, if you gave bing a try for a few days, it was easy to understand the branding decision made by Microsoft.
And then, BOOM! They drop another update making it even more of a decision affair. The new bing brings a long with it a metro’isk look and feel and some really nice social network integration. You’ll be able to see off to the side, a list of friends from your social network feeds that might have some insight on your search query, how cool is that!?
