Microsoft: Windows 8 & Surface RT Launch (Keynote-Video)
Although I have never been one to share in an Apple fans enthusiasm for a newly released iPhone or iPad, on October 25th into the 26th; I can definitely say that the feeling was almost over the top. Once I left work, journeyed into time square and noticed that almost every LED and LCD billboard in sight displayed something Windows; I have to say that I was completely thrown. Never have I ever been a witness to Microsoft pumping this much advertisement into their software or any product released.
TIME SQUARE: WINDOWS 8 TAKE OVER
The the early Zune years, you truly didn’t know it existed unless someone you knew owned one, or you were browsing the web and manage to stumble on to an ad. The prior Windows PC Software versions were something of the obvious. It dropped, and you just kind of knew. Nothing more nothing less. 2012 has sparked a different type of flame under the Microsoft brass that seems to have forced their hands into a different direction. … And I asked the question…Why the hell didn’t they do this before? I can’t say, or I won’t say! (Take Your Pick)
Since the release of the Nokia Lumia in spring, Microsoft has pumped advertisement into almost everything that they create, and why not! But enough of all of this ad stuff! What am I talking about, what does all of this mean??? It means that Windows 8 is here, it means that Surface RT is here, it means that the playing field, or “Surface” if you will; has just become a little bit more leveled!! All I have to say is, #MICROSOFT for the win! Check out the full keynote below!
