Nokia Debuts The Highly Anticipated Lumia 1020 Multi-Video Video & Spec Sheet

Nokia Lumia 1020

With the age of the Shutter bug being among us, how dos a OEM company like Nokia accommodate the ever increasing Instagram community with a device that is not just a Smartphone, and not just a Camera, but in fact a lot of both? Well look no further! Nokia has finally debuted the long awaited Lumia 1020 which features the famed 41-megapixel sensor with Pureview technology.

Okay so when I first laid eyes on a device that featured such a shooter, it was on the Nokia Pureview 41-MP, yeah that weird looking Symbian device from about two years ago. The rant then was the depth of the pictures that the camera actually allow for you to take, coupled with features that let you (on screen) manipulate the quality of the picture. Zooming in very close to focus on something as minuscule as a stain on a tee-shirt; all the while having taken a picture of a person rock climbing was utterly amazing. Well Nokia has now place this kind of technology into the hands of those would be photographers like you or I, giving us better power and flexibility than most point and shoot cameras on the market today.

So the meat and potatoes is as such… The Lumia 1020 will be obviously marketed as a Windows Phone 8 device, or at least at the moment. I say this because there has been little to no word on the release date of the L-1020, thus no word on if it will feature the newest iteration of the Windows Phone software 8.1 aka Blue. I won’t consider myself as “going out on a limb” by saying that the L-1020 will likely be an AT&T retailed device, so if I know OEMs and if I know carriers even better, then I know to expect this device sometime during the fourth quarter. Looks like Instagram and every other Photo based websites wins the Social network wars.
