Nokia Lumia 820 and 920′s wireless charging pad revealed

It’s incredible that I am seriously considering buying a 920 with just these leaks. I’m kinda excited. This could be one of many key things Nokia is doing this generation to make the Lumia line and wp8 stand out to consumers this time around. Lets see how consumers receive this one, they really loved it when this idea made its debut on the palm pre a few years back. Long live windows phone 8!

Both the Lumia 820 and 920 — expected to be announced at an event in New York this Wednesday — are believed to feature wireless charging, and the evidence grows this morning with the leak of an image showing the models on their charging pad. The pad looks to be nearly as long as the phone itself with a single cord trailing off into the distance (presumably connecting to a USB port), but if rumors of Qi compatibility are true, it’s conceivable that owners of the phone will be able to use a variety of pads from other manufacturers as well; Verizon, for instance, offers Qi wireless charging on a number of its smartphones.
