PONY X Dee & Ricky – M100
PONY and Dee & Ricky come together for a dope collaboration.
The design savvy twins are let loose on the M-100 and proceed with their signature flamboyant style.
Two distinctly unique styles of footwear make up the core of these latest releases. As designers, the twins have individual ideas and methods for product fabrication, which is reflected here with a multi textile upper consisting of a luxurious wool and suede with a reflective yellow side panel and also a reflective tongue.
Dee & Ricky’s M100 is out of the box and vividly left of center. The bold blocked primary colors intrinsically draw the eye and gives the shoe an extra punch.
The M-100 was first released in 1988, during a period when PONY upped the ante by releasing the high tech M-100 model. With a busy upper complete with plastic breathable holes and a ‘linear motion’ logo, the M-100 certainly offered a more dynamic presence than its PONY predecessors.
