PressReader: The Newspaper App Review

PressReader is a free app for reading newspapers around the globe. The app is available on iTunes, Android Play, Windows Phone and Blackberry. You basically find a newspaper that your looking for, then you pick a country and then you’ll see all the different publications that you can read from in said country.

Now the app is free and comes with 7 free credits but you will have to pay for the newspapers to download after those credits run out. You can also subscribe to different news papers, which actually saves you a little bit of money. Once the paper is download you can open it and start reading away. It’s very realistic to reading an actual newspaper.

It’s not formatted to fit your cell phone or tablet. It’s the exact same size as a real newspaper page. This app looks really good on a tablet, rather than a mobile phone due to its screen size. I found press reader extremely easy to use. I was able to find my local paper no problem.

What I Liked

Comes a free 7-issue trials (worth the download alone)
Easy to use interface (non-tech savvy adults will love this)
50+ Page newspapers download extremely fast
Easy find different newspapers around the globe
Looks and acts just like a real newspaper
Looks great on a tablet

What I Didn’t Like

Doesn’t have every newspaper
Should give us more free credits (i know im pushing it)

If you’re a big newspaper person, then this is the perfect app for you! While its still a nice app on the mobile phone, I highly recommend this to anyone with a tablet.
