Personifying art, manifesting culture…

As a lover of graffiti art and a writer myself, this is not the end of life, but life transcending into art forever! Kase 2’s recent passing at Bronx Lincoln Hospital sent a wave of emotion as far as other countries. All over the world; the Music of Hip Hop is embraced, but there is so much more to the culture than a great 16 bars or heavy drum beats. What is Hip Hop? We listen to the music, buy the albums, download the music, and sing the songs often without recognizing some of the other aspects of the Culture. D.J.’ing, M.C.’ing, Break Dancing, and Graffiti Art. They all go hand in hand when describing the culture and Kase 2 was certainly a contributing factor. We are all partial to our own place of dwelling, and with good reason, but as an embracer or the Hip Hop Culture; I as well as all who may partake in such MUST give credit and homage to the Pioneers of the culture that has found shelter in the hearts of so many that would allow them to dwell. Kase 2 was a Pioneer bringing a Lifestyle to people that would change the course of time and bring about a history that we may all smile and consider ourselves lucky to be a part of. Lifestyle, that word should have an ever clearer meaning. Know that we at Lifestyles Defined are moved at the passing of a legend. A Legend in his craft, a Legend in his community, and a Legend in his culture. Today we mourn you, KASE 2 “The KING Of STYLES”
