Top 5 Haswell Laptops (Summer 2013)

This year Intel ® has introduced the 4th generation of their Core™ processors and the new line is raising the bar by producing improved graphics and longer battery life than its predecessors.  Armed with the new mircoarchitechture, the 22mn manufacturing process brings significant performance advancements to visuals and multitasking features.  For a detail look at the new enhancements to Intel’s line up, hit up the link.

The announcement of the new processor came out earlier this year and it has already started to make its way into consumer laptops.  So here are my top 5 picks all with Intel’s 4th generation Haswell processors from the base configuration that both gamers and traveling business crowd will enjoy.

1.       Sony VAIO Pro 11 and Pro 13

The Sony’s new line of VAIO Pro 11 and 13 laptops both have durable case design that’s wrapped in carbon fiber and provides ultimate protection without sacrificing weight.  At merely 1.92lbs for the Pro 11 and 2.34lbs for the Pro 13, this makes them the lightest Ultrabooks ™ on the market.   Other features include a backlit keyboard, 1080p IPS touch screens, and standard PCIe SSD’s (on the Pro 13 model).

2.       Razer Blade              

Claiming to be the lightest and slimmest gaming laptop on the market, the Razer Blade comes in at just 0.66 inches, with an ultra-thin profile made from aluminum.  The 14” screen displayed with the help of Nvidia’s® GeForce GTX® 756M graphics, and with available SSD performance making Razer Blade the most powerful laptop in its class.

3.       Fujitsu Lifebook UH90 is as thin as its predecessor even after moving to an extra-dense 3,200 x 1,800 LCD

The new Fujitsu Lifebook UH90 claims to be the slimmest laptop with highest resolution touchscreen IGZO LCD display at 3,200 x 1,800 that has a pixel density at 262 ppi.  The 14” wide format display uses a Super Glide Coating to take advantage of the navigation on Windows 8.  Other features include “Omnidesign” and a 500GB hybrid drive that speeds up boot times.

4.       Gigabit P35K

The Gigabyte P35K is a 15.6” 1080p Full HD gaming laptop in a slim 21mm package while delivering the best gaming experience.   The P35K includes a Nivida® GeForce® GTX 745M graphics and a swappable DVD ROM/HDD slot.  You can also pack the P35K with up to two 1TB HDD and two 512GB mSATA SSD’s with super RAID 0 technology support.

5.       Maingear Pulse 14

    That razor blade is a serious contendor for the gamers out there. I looked it at once or twice, but i think i need something as thin and portable as possiable.
